Area for under threes is near the café. A parent can enter the play area (which includes ball park, slides, a house, soft shapes and a little castle) with their toddler. They also have assistants in the afternoon if you wish to leave your child there (in July and August they have assistants in the mornings too). Summer timetable is from 8am to 9pm (Saturdays until 10pm). The rest of the year, tots can only go from 5 to 9pm. Closed on Sundays in summer but the rest of the year open on Sundays. Price from Monday to Thursday 5 euros per hour (or you can pay for 30 mins), Fridays and weekend 6 euros an hour. If you’re planning to go a weekend morning, best to call first to check that there won’t be a birthday party. Bonos or passes available.

Have a small area for 1-3 year olds which includes small plastic climbing ‘castle’ with slides, ball-park and see-saws. They will allow children from 2 and a half to enter the big zone but parents cannot accompany them there. Open Mon-Fri 4:30-8:30pm. Weekends open 12-2pm and 5-9pm. On week-days 6 euros per hour, weekends 7 euros. Organize birthdays with tea (as do many other places).

Kangaroos Park

La Jirafa con Gafas

There are three zones, one zone being for babies. Children over 2 can enter all three zones. They can be accompanied by a parent though there are also monitors. Open 5 to 9pm everyday. You have to pay for a minimum of one hour (4,30 euros per hour on weekdays, 4,90 at weekends).

This is set up really for older children but they will allow smaller ones, from the age of 2, to go in, though under 4s must be accompanied by a parent. Open from 4:30 to 8:30pm from Mon to Fri and open in the mornings at weekends from 11:30 to 2pm. Cost is 6,80 euros an hour.

Designed for children over 3 but they will allow younger children in if they are accompanied by an adult. They say it can be a bit overwhelming for little ones if there is a birthday party, so suggest calling  beforehand to check whether there is one. Costs 3 euros for 30 mins or 5 euros an hour.

Just one area so best for kids not too much under 3 years old, especially as adults can’t accompany them in. Your toddler is likely to enjoy this more if they go in with other toddlers they know. You can pay for half an hour.


El Corte Inglés

Area in basement which includes small ball park (for children over 2 years old), coin rides and plastic wendy houses and slides. Ball park is open Mondays to Fridays from 5 to 9pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 to 3pm and 5 to 9pm. Cost is 2 euros for 30 minutes. You need to purchase a ticket at the ‘Atención al Cliente’ desk by the entrance to Hipercor.  The store’s cafe is on the 6th floor and offers panoramic view of the Sierra.
